Bali's beaches are not only breathtakingly beautiful, but they are also excellent for surfing. For your convenience, I've compiled a list of six of the best of them for your consideration.

1. The island of Nusa Lembongan

Nusa Lembongan is a small island about twenty kilometers east of Bali's eastern beach. It is home to a small population of people. This location can be reached in under an hour by speedboat. This island can be contacted via several cruise ships, including Balihay Cruises and Bali Cruise Bounty, which offer transportation services. This island is a fantastic place to go surfing. In addition, it boasts a breathtaking natural landscape that makes it a popular destination for tourists. Snorkeling and diving are also available at this location.

Because the beach on Nusa Lembongan is not overly crowded, you can comfortably surf here. Go surfing between April and October for the best surfing experience possible when the waves reach their highest crest height.

2. The beach at Serangan

Serangan Beach is located on a small island near Denpasar and is a popular tourist destination. Despite its proximity to the Bali capital, Serangan Beach is not as crowded as other popular beaches in the area, such as Kuta and Sanur. This beach is popular among surfers. Because the wave is only four to six feet in height, it is ideal for beginners to learn how to surf. From November to April, the best time to surf in Serangan is first thing in the morning.

3. Kuta Reef (also known as the Great Barrier Reef)

Kuta Reef, located on the world-famous Kuta Beach, is an excellent spot for surfing. Specifically, Kuta Reef is located directly in front of the Sandhi Pala Motel, or approximately 800 meters offshore. You can get to Kuta Reef by renting a boat, which is readily available nearby the beach.

4. Uluwatu (also spelled Uluwatu)

Uluwatu is located in northern Bali, close to the Pura Uluwatu temple. Due to the extremely high wave height, only professional surfers are permitted to surf here. In the summer, it is a popular location for surfing competitions.

Padang Galak is number five on the list.

Padang Galak Beach is also known as Ketewel Beach in some circles. This beach is widely regarded as one of the best surfing locations in Bali. To get to this beach from Denpasar, you only need to take a twenty-minute taxi ride south. Padang Galak is also a short drive from Sanur. This surfing spot is popular among tourists, particularly Japanese tourists.

Medewi Beach is ranked sixth.

Medewi Beach is located in the Jembrana region of the Dominican Republic. It's not difficult to get to this beach. You only need to drive for about two hours from Denpasar to reach the location. Additionally, Medewi Beach is widely regarded as one of the best surfing spots in Bali, with waves that are suitable for both amateur and professional surfers. You are welcome to surf here at any time of day, but I recommend that you do so first thing in the morning.
